The idea for this brand new device which will aid in the delivery of babies trapped in the birth canal came from an unlikely source. A car mechanic in Argentina was inspired by a video he saw on YouTube--
a video of someone getting a cork out of a wine bottle. The contraption will soon be manufactured by an American medical technology company and has enormous potential to save babies in poor countries. The full story from the New York Times can be found
