Bat Boy

Being a major league bat boy at 30 years old might seem odd, but for one Cincinnati Reds fan, it was a dream come true. When an Ohio native with Down's Syndrome won the opportunity to be honorary bat boy for a night in 2012, he was such an inspiration to the team they invited him back for several more games and gave him a permanent job with the organization. A recent episode of E:60 on ESPN featured the complete story, but this week ABC News featured it as well.

Promising Research

This video was actually posted many months ago since it's about one of the 2012 winners of the Google Science Fair, but it's still an amazing achievement for a researcher--especially for one who is only 17. Dairy Queen Does Good

Yesterday a story about a 19-year-old manager at a Minnesota Dairy Queen was all over the Internet--and for good reason. It's great that someone who witnessed the event took the time to share the story with the store's owner. Read the full story from TheBlaze.com here.

Honesty Rewarded

On Sunday the Boston Police Department reported that a homeless man had turned in a backpack he found containing over $41,000 in cash and traveler's checks. His integrity was so admirable, and thankfully he was recognized for his honesty. A complete stranger from Virginia started an online campaign to raise reward money for the honest gentleman. It's been a huge success, as NPR reported Wednesday morning. At that point over $64,000 had been raised to help this homeless man start a new life, and the money is still coming in. Here's the story from a local Boston station.
