Honesty Rewarded

On Sunday the Boston Police Department reported that a homeless man had turned in a backpack he found containing over $41,000 in cash and traveler's checks. His integrity was so admirable, and thankfully he was recognized for his honesty. A complete stranger from Virginia started an online campaign to raise reward money for the honest gentleman. It's been a huge success, as NPR reported Wednesday morning. At that point over $64,000 had been raised to help this homeless man start a new life, and the money is still coming in. Here's the story from a local Boston station.
