A 10-year-old boy in the Detroit area is being hailed as a hero after insisting his parents check out his hunch. Accidental Diagnosis

In an extremely unlikely confluence of events, an actor who was portraying a patient at the medical school at University of Virginia last year was asked to act out the symptoms of an abdominal aneurysm. When the med student did the practice exam appropriate for the symptoms given, the student actually found a potentially fatal abdominal aneurysm. Cold, Long Walk

A gentleman in Atlanta who is currently experiencing homelessness took an amazing walk earlier this week when he traveled 29 miles on foot in record low temperatures. He had to leave at 1 a.m. to arrive at traffic court on time, and the journey took him over 8 hours. Thankfully, the police officers at the courthouse didn't let him make the walk home. Observant Hero

A seven-year-old girl who was kidnapped last week in northern California was rescued within a few hours thanks to a Target employee with good intuition. When the employee saw a man in the store acting suspiciously, she followed him outside and copied his license plate number, only to realize later that he matched the description of the suspected kidnapper mentioned in an Amber Alert.
